Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone elses drinking. We believe alcoholism affects the whole family, not just the drinker. We are an international organisation with over 800 support groups in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience in order to solve their common problems
Alateen is for teenage relatives and friends of alcoholics. Alateen is part of Al-Anon.
We believe alcoholism is a family disease that affects everyone in the family. Alateen meetings are attended by 12-17 year olds. They meet to share their experiences of having, or having had, a problem drinker in their lives. They help and support each other.
