Formal Assessment

Has the person you care for had an assessment of their need for support services e.g. homecare or respite by either a Community Care Officer or Social Worker?
Do you feel you need additional services e.g. a bit more help with personal care or, more time to recharge your batteries by having extra respite?
Do you know you have a statutory right to a Formal Carers Assessment?

You, as a carer, can request this through either a Community Care Officer or Social Worker (contact details can be found at http://www.moray.gov.uk/) or through contacting our service and talking to Brenda, Jane or Liz. We are happy to make a referral to the above on your behalf. The assessment, which provides a comprehensive look at your individual needs might help ease areas of strain and possibly source additional services.
