Progress2Work (P2W)
Progress 2 Work is a programme which supports stabilised and ex-drug users to gain confidence, training and skills to help future work opportunities.
This programme is a partnership between SCVO and NHS Grampian Substance Misuse Service and is managed by Jobcentre Plus. It seeks to support people who want to move on and find employment, is voluntary and open to clients who are unemployed, of working age and living in Moray and Aberdeenshire. Since its launch Progress2work has supported 95 clients into employment, training or further education.

who is it aimed at?
Our clients are ex-drug users or those on a reduction treatment programme and would like support to access training or find work.
Above all the programme is suitable for clients who are motivated and interested in learning new skills and experiences to help them find work or to access further education or training.
How does it work?
Progress2work employs a support worker who will :
- Find out what you would like to do and ask you what you feel you need in terms of support and training to get there.
- Design an individually tailored programme of activities based around your needs. This includes support, advice, skills development, confidence building, work experience etc.
- Help you to look for work or further training and continue our support so that you have someone to talk to while you adjust to your lifestyle changes.
- Help you find the right training and who will make sure that everything is okay when you are on a placement.
