Moray Drug and Alcohol Services

Moray Drug and Alcohol Services are based at 252 High Street, Elgin and are an integrated service consisting of the Social Work Addiction Team and NHS Grampian Drug and Alcohol Team.  The Moray Drug and Alchohol Service is co-located with Moray Council on Addictions.

What does the Integrated Service do?

Drugs

• Residential Detox
• Substitute Prescribing
• Advice and Support for drug users and those affected by drug use
• Drug education and training for clinical staff and other agencies

Alcohol

• Home detoxification, advice and support
• Advice and support is also avaiable to those who live with or care for someone who has an alcohol problem.
• Assessment for services including counselling and residential rehabilitation.

Family Planning

• Free Condom Service

What does MCA do?

Moray Council on Addiction provides a free confidential counselling and advisory service for people experiencing problems with alcohol and drugs. This service is available to anyone who wishes to discuss their drinking or drug habits and to any family or friends who feel they are experiencing problems caused by anothers alcohol or drug use. The volunteer counsellors are fully trained. Free literature relevant to alcohol and drugs is available.
